Oh, Marilyn.

I'm finally on Spring break! I stayed at school to work the first weekend , now it's my turn to relax. As I was lounging around watching Boys Meet World and being completely bored, I started thinking about Marilyn Monroe. Random I know, but it happens. In my opinion, Marilyn was one of the most beautiful women on Earth. She knew how to walk into a room and own it and she had crazy sex appeal. Marilyn will always be considered one of my top icons. So, this is just me sharing my inspirations.

Just for Audrey ♥

So, during my daily 'slack off' in my Graphic Design class, I was on Pinterest. I had just browsing through all of the things that I wish I had. Then I saw it, this beautiful Robins Egg blue nail polish. I read the caption and I was sold. Tiffany Blue! I've always wanted a Tiffany Blue nail polish. As I read further in depth I found that the polish was named For Audrey after the late Audrey Hepburn. Audrey Hepburn has been a style and beauty icon since the mid 1900's. Starring in Breakfast at Tiffanys, I don't know who would be more deserving of the name of a nail polish than her.

Like I said, as soon as I saw the polish I was sold. As soon as I got paid, it was the first thing I bought (Amazon, $6 + Free shipping? WHAT WHAT!) . Yes, the color is everything I ever would have dreamed and I vowed to have my nails done and painted this color for summer...

Just for Audrey.

Dramatic St. Patrick's Day Tutorial

As everyone knows, St. Patty's Day is coming up soon! All the reason for people to go out, toss back a few and have a good time. All in good measure - I hope. Anyways, for the ladies who want to look FABULOUS on this exciting day, here's a look that you'll most likely see me rocking! I hope you enjoy.

(Sorry about the blurriness of some of the photos)

1. First prime the eye. Then, go over the lid with a NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. After, apply a lime green shade to the inner tear duct area.

2. Apply a teal color to the middle of the lid.

3. On the outer corner of the eye, apply a forest green winging it up and out.

4. Get your NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk and draw a line right about your crease. This is to insure that there IS an open space of skin between the white and the lid colors.

5. Go back in with the teal color and apply it over the white. Connecting the color with the forest green and curve it up toward the ridge of the nose. Remember to blend the color out.

6. Go back in with the forest green and blend right above the teal to give it a gradient affect.

7. Add a light shimmery green to the brow bone for a highlight.

8. Remember the open space of skin? Apply a gold color.

9. Apply the forest green color to the lower lash line.

10. Use liquid liner to create a wing starting at the inner tear duct.

11. Continue the liner to the lower lash line then go at an angle right before the inner tear duct.

12. Apply the white pencil in the inner tear duct area.

13. Take the same white pencil and an eyeliner brush and draw a line along side of the wing.

14. Apply the shimmery green that you used for your highlight and apply it over the white in the tear duct area and the line you created along side of the wing. Apply mascara and/or fake lashes

This is what you should have!

I hope you enjoyed it!

Trend Alert: Tribal

The Tribal or "Afrocentric" trend was shown in abundance on the runways for Spring. Springtime definitely brings out the 'wild' side of most people.. warm weather, spring break. Since winter tends to bring seasonal depression; spring comes around just in time and the warm weather seems to make them unwind. The designers were feeling this idea. Micheal Kors - as you can see from the photos - out-did him self for his spring line. All you see are animal prints with warm colors and a share of neutrals as well . The safari theme was a hit for S/S 2012.
